The oars are easy to use, like a rowboat, and this pontoon glides across the water with ease, somethin you float tubers may not be able to do. It's even got a motor mount so you can really sail fast or even troll for fish. One drawback of a pontoon boat is that a strong wind may keep you from staying in the spot ya want to be in but overall this is a great boat for lakes or light current rivers, it's rated for class 1 rivers. If your lookin for fishing more extreme rivers you might want to look at some different pontoons, which will most likely cost a bit more of your plunder.
