Others Email Providers Just Are Not As Good

Problem With Using Internet Provider's Email

Have you ever changed your internet provider, if you have you've also had to change your Email Address too. I have worked for an internet company and seen this happen to people many times when they switched to our internet service, it's not fun informing everyone of you new email address.

Problem #2 with using your internet provider's email is there spam filters are not even come close to those of GMAIL or Yahoo Mail. Why is this, because Google and Yahoo have got serious cash and experts to make theirs better.

Problem #3 with using your internet provider's email is the amount of storage space you get. Most internet providers give you 20 megabytes of email storage and you can only send small attachment. GMAIL can send and receive an attachment that is 25 megabytes in size and gives you over 7 Gigabytes of storage space.

Problem #4 with using your internet provider's email is that it can't do all the cool stuff GMAIL can. I will talk about some of these thing in this article but to learn more click here.

Why Not Yahoo! Mail

Yahoo Mail is a good email provider, unless you are not a big fan of in-modest ads on the page like the Dating Ads that Yahoo Mail will show in the sidebar of your email. GMAIL has text ads to but they are clean and out of the way. GMAIL shows text ads in the right hand column that will be related to the content of the email messages you are viewing, I hardly notice the ads are even there most of the time.

Some Of GMAIL's Cool Features:

Search Mail - Google is a search engine company after all, so can imagine how good their search tool works for finding the email you are looking for and it's lightening fast to. It not only searches Email Subjects, it searches for the Sender's Name and though out the Content in each email.

Themes - There are many awesome themes to choose from so you don't have to look at the same old basic layout on your email day in and day out. There is a few themes, like the Mountain or Beach theme, that change throughout the day as the sun goes up and down. My favorite theme is the Ninja theme.

No Cost - Set up as many accounts as you want, it's all free.

Awesome Spam Filter - GMAIL catches most spam before it gets to your inbox and puts it in a SPAM folder. I spam does get though, just click the REPORT SPAM button and GMAIL will make sure it doesn't get though to you again. You can also create rules for curtain words to trigger the spam filter. My favorite spam filter feature is the DELETE ALL SPAM MESSAGES NOW button, one click and they are all gone with out checking each one.

Email Programs - GMAIL's webmail works great but if for some reason you like your email client better, they let you use it. They support many email clients, including Outlook and Thunderbird, and give you easy to follow instructions. To use this option, click SETTINGS and look for IMAP link for instructions.

Image Preview - Do you hate it when you have to download and open an attachment to see the image. With GMAIL, you get thumbnail of all the image attachment right in the email and you can view the full image with out downloading it first.

Auto Responder - Have ever went on vacation and come home to people wondering why you have not responded to their email. Now you can turn on an auto responder that will send a custom response to all emails you receive while you are gone, or whatever the reason you don't want to respond to emails.
